What's best food allergy test?

Question:
I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and would like to be tested for food allergies. What is the most accurate form of testing for this as I would like to get the best test if possible? I am in the UK.

Answer:
Ed, go to waltstollmd.com under allergies to see the statistics on most allergy tests, there not so good, less then 10% accuracy. Then see NAET.com for the best test. They can help you with the CFS also. I also have CFS and many food allergies and I just started with NAET last week. After one treatment I am able to eat dairy products, after not eating any for over two years. My doctor has high hopes of eliminating my allergies (including food allergies) and greatly improveing my CFS. I figure it is worth trying, can't lose anything but money...grin. In addition to NAET.com there is a group for discussion of NAET that seems to have a lot of good information. You can find it at http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/naet-l.html - you have to register, but there is no cost involved. I am trying very hard to not be offended!! I have been sick with CFS since 1988 and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is not a "State of Mind". I am "lucky" to have a mild case of CFS and it has totaly changed my life and my ability to function. Rather then rant and rave, I will give you some CFS sites, so you may educate yourself! First the CDC thinks it is real, here is there site: http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/diseases/cfs/index.htm The Mayo Clinic also thinks it is real: http://www.mayoclinic.com/findinformation/diseasesandconditions/invok... http://www.cfids.org/ http://www.cfs-news.org/ http://www.drkoop.com/dyncon/article.asp?at=N&id=9667 http://www.co-cure.org/ http://chronicfatigue.about.com/library/weekly/aa051501a.htm You might also want to look at this website and read about how sick some people are. There is a lot of chatter, support and some serious issues talked about. Taking part in thiswebsite, taught me how lucky I am to have a MILD case of CFS!! http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&safe=off&group=alt.med.cfs This should keep you busy for a while!! I hope you learn something from these sites.
