Flu like symptoms /need advice (Long) ?

Question:
Last month while vacuming my apt. I developed a sneeze attack. I sneezed continuously for 10 mins, runny nose etc...I thought it was an allergy attack.
-Then two hrs. later I was so sick I could not lift my head off the pillow. My head felt as if it would burst, eyes hurt, and my chest felt as if an elephant was sitting on it. I was in so much pain I could not move. I was taking shallow breaths and I could not stay awake. I had a fever with joint and muscle pain from Sat (when everything started )until monday morning. Monday afternoon the doctors examined me. My glands were sore but not swollen. No fever, just the usual aches and pain. They said I must have caught a virus but, I was over it. Well.. it happened again this week, without the sneezing or runny nose.

Answer:
....with FM/CFS/MPS = DSS, you may get the knock down drop dead flu every day...for 5 years I had this continuous flu until a 2 day lift began happening 1 yr ago ... Malic Acid/Magnesium (Doc's advice) therapy began extending the break period (as long as I didn't overdo) for a few days longer, now I've added Thyroplex (OC) and the fatigue/flu symptoms are lessened by 25%...and I am doing more everyday. Yes this stuff can get very vicious and make you terribly ill .... so ill that you are unable to do much of anything...hence the name "The Drop Dead Flu." Finding the supplementation that is right for you takes tenacious diligence...listening to your body, and long hours of research, but finally looks as if it is paying off. To me 25% reduction in fatigue/flu is very welcome and hard earned. I've had terrible IBS for many years as well and so far for me the Gluten/Wheat/Dairy Free Diet is totally curtailing it!!! These 3 steps have done more to help me in the last few months than anything else has in the last 5years .... Claritin 24 hour helps me a lot through the boughts of "flu". It helps clear my lungs faster and helps keep the fevers down (I get low-grade fevers almost daily anyway). For the trouble breathing you may want to ask about getting an inhailor. I have asthma (diagnosed about a year before the FMS) and the proventil inhailors are pretty good. They don't have a lot of side effects and they aren't extremely strong. It is the one they give to people with bronchitis. Please--let's be a bit more cautious here. An inhaler for asthma is not the same medication given for allergies. If you use the asthma inhaler for allergies--YOU WILL RISK YOUR LIFE. Please consult with a pharmacist or dr before using anyone else medications--one man's tonic is another person's death.
