canine allergies and solutions ?

Question:
We have established a Yahoo group: Canineallergiessoluti...@yahoogroups.com which explores the most recent research as well as natural remedies for canine allergies. These allergies include food allergies, inhalant allergies and contact allergies. Recently, some members have noticed that certain herbs, such as stinging nettles have significantly reduced allergy symptoms. Why not join us and exchange information on this increasing health problem among dogs ?

Answer:
In all fairness, I think it should be said that this particular website explores only what this woman decides should be explored, which is fine I suppose but really it should be mentioned in their description before you join - that it is a heavily moderated group. If you give a topic or a response to a topic that this person finds contrary to her own agenda or beliefs for whatever reason, fair or unfair, right, wrong or simply of a different point of view, you will be removed from membership with no warning or explanation whatsoever. ......Oh brother, or is that sister! What a shame people act like that. I guess you can tell exactly *why* this person wanted their own list! Bah... I do not object to her form of website, althought for the topic described it seems a little over the top. For whatever reason, they heavily moderate member posts. In my case, I had just read that provocative chapter about dog behavior and how it influences self mutilation/scratching/chewing in The Dog That Loved Too Much, and posted pretty much the same post I did here asking some questions about this. I was looking for feedback, the reason being I found it extremely thought provoking and possibly an avenue to explore down the line as I responded here to other posts. I didn't post a "pro lets dope up dogs that scratch" post. In fact, I'm wary of the fact that many dogslike Ollie take benedryl and cortisone entirely too frequently. It has to be taking a toll on the liver, the heart, etc. I was thinking it may be that these drugs which have a side effect slowing down dogs somewhat are being used as tranquilizers without realizing it, because dogs don't talk. They don't say, geeze I feel so much better. When they take benedry and cortisone, they simply stop or slow down their self destructing. So this may be a possibility some people may want to consider...at least thats how I saw it at the time. So if a dog is habitually scratching, perhaps a program of medication is something to consider. Since I had only just joined, I thought maybe there was a screwup with Yahoo, so I wrote to her - FOUR TIMES before she responded and that was only because she was posting her recruitments in other websites I belong to, so I used their mail option to write, thinking maybe she wasn't getting my mail otherwise. She refused to respond to my question as to what had happened or even if I had been removed. She wanted my home phone number to "discuss" the group. I asked what needed to be discussed - did this mean I had in fact been removed? She did not respond. I've been communicating on a computer for a long long time...I found this a little odd, to say the least.
